Lithuanian Litas
Lithuania officially uses the litas as the local currency. 1 litas is divided into 100 centas.
Currency regime
The litas is fixed against the Euro at 3.45, but will fluctuate against the US dollar and Sterling. The government is seeking to adopt the Euro in 2007, but this has not yet been agreed.
Travellers cheques are best taken in US dollars. The import of litas is limited to 5,000
