Lithuanian Litas
Lithuania officially uses the litas as the local currency. 1 litas is divided into 100 centas.
Currency regime
The litas is fixed against the Euro at 3.45, but will fluctuate against the US dollar and Sterling. The government is seeking to adopt the Euro in 2007, but this has not yet been agreed.
Commercial rates
On March 23rd 2006, the litas was valued at around 2.86 against the dollar 3.45 against the Euro and 4.98 against Sterling.
Tourist rates
On March 23rd 2006 the litas was valued at around 4.83 against Sterling. For 1 UK pound you will, therefore, receive around 4.83 litas.
