Latvian Lat
Latvia officially uses the lat as the local currency. 1 lat is divided into 100 santins.
Currency regime
The lat is linked to the IMF's Special Drawing Right (SDR) which effectively is a basket of currencies made up of the dollar, Yen, Euro and Sterling.
Commercial rates
On March 21st 2006, the lat was valued at around 0.572 against the dollar 0.692 against the Euro and 1.00 against Sterling.
