Danish krone
Denmark officially uses the Danish krone as the local currency. 1 krone is divided into 100 øre. The krone is also used in Greenland and the Faroe Islands
Currency regime
Denmark is part of the EU, but the currency is not part of the European Monetary Union (EMU) having decided to opt-opt of EMU. The krone is managed by the central bank in a very tight band against the Euro with a central rate of 7.45 against the Euro.
