Croatian kuna

Croatia officially uses the Croatian kuna as the local currency. The kuna is divided into 100 Lipa

Currency regime

The Central bank effectively manages the kuna in a tight band around 7.25 against the Euro with the kuna kept within a 15% band around a central rate.

Note. The kuna tends to weaken significantly during winter and then strengthen during summer as the tourism revenue has an important impact on the currency. If a holiday is arranged well in advance, it is advisable to buy the kuna you need during January - March.
