Costa Rican Colon
Costa Rica officially uses the colon as the local currency. The colon is divided into100 centimos.
Currency regime
The colon is managed on a tight crawling-peg regime against the US dollar. The currency gradually depreciates against the US currency. The US dollar is also widely accepted in Costa Rica.
